Practice areas
All the law a company needs.
We are a general practice focused on business. That breadth is deliberate: corporate matters are rarely pure. A shareholder exit is at once a corporate, contractual, tax and often employment question, and resolving it through a single point of contact avoids contradictions and duplicated work.
Corporate
Incorporation, governance and restructuring of companies. We work alongside the board on the decisions that shape the life of the business.
View area → 02Contracts
Contracts are the infrastructure of the business. We draft, negotiate and review them so that they hold up when something goes wrong.
View area → 03Strategic consultancy
Ongoing advice for the board: corporate structure, governance, risk mapping and support on decisions that matter.
View area → 04Litigation and arbitration
Defending the company's interests before the courts and arbitral tribunals, with an honest assessment of prospects, cost and timing before we start.
View area → 05Civil and assets
Family and business assets, civil contracts, property and succession. The boundary between personal and corporate wealth calls for judgement.
View area → 06Restructuring and insolvency
Acting early in the face of insolvency. Restructuring plans, creditor negotiations and formal insolvency, protecting the business and the board.
View area → 07Employment
Advising the company on its relationship with its people: hiring, management, workforce restructuring and defence before the employment tribunals.
View area → 08Compliance and data
Compliance programmes, corporate crime prevention and GDPR implementation, sized to the reality and scale of each company.
View area →Outside our scope
What we do not do.
We do not practise general criminal law, immigration or contentious family law. Nor do we take on matters requiring a specialisation we do not have.
When a matter falls outside our scope we say so in the first conversation and, where we can, refer you to a trusted professional. That serves the client better than accepting an engagement we would handle less well than it deserves.
Initial consultation
Not sure which area your matter falls under?
That is common, and it does not matter. Describe the situation in your own words and we will identify which areas are involved.
